Collection Notice Concerning L. E. Waterman Pen Company & D. T. Blackburn & Son. Circa 1911. This is a group of two paper pages.
a. One page is a mimeographed notice from the Stationers Board of Trade Bureau of Collections. It is dated July 15, 1911, and directed to D. T. Blackburn & Son of Rarden, Ohio. It is a claim against Blackburn by the L. E. Waterman Pen Company for $6.67. The claim states that if the debt is not settled by July 21, 1911, it will be sent to an attorney for collection.
b. The second item in this group is a mimeographed letter from D. T. Blackburn & Son in response to the claim notice. The letter is dated July 17, 1911. In this response it acknowledges the receipt of the collection notice, but states that two pens sent back to Waterman for credit were not credited. The collection notice measures 13" x 8". The letter from Blackburn to Waterman measures 8 ½" x 11".
