a. L. E. Waterman Pen Company Correspondence on Company Letterhead. Circa 1910. This lot contains two pieces of paper. The first is a mimeographed letter on L. E. Waterman's letterhead to the dealer D. T. Blackburn & Son of Rarden, Ohio. The letter discusses pen discounts. Waterman's requests the signing of an agreement not to discount pens, but to sell them only at retail. The discount offered by Waterman's is 40% if the dealer stocks at least one dozen pens. Waterman's also agrees to buy back any pens if the dealer decides to discontinue selling them. This letter is dated June 2nd, 1910.
b.The second piece of paper is a small agreement/contract. It discusses what Waterman's agrees to do as well as what Waterman's expects from the potential dealer. The bottom of the back side is signed by the Ohio dealer. Letter measures 8 ½" x 11". The small agreement measures 2 15/16" x 5 7/16".
